Yes! We welcome applications that explore environmental justice topics, including projects that address the experiences of particular communities, as long as they follow The Green Initiative Fund bylaws and our commitment to equitable participation.
If your project highlights the experiences of a specific group (for example, environmental issues impacting communities of color), please make sure your proposal makes it clear that all students and campus community members are welcome to participate and contribute.
When writing your proposal, please:
-
State that participation is open to all students or campus community members (depending on how your project is structured), regardless of background or identity.
-
Use language that both invites broad engagement and acknowledges the community or issue at the center of your work.
Why this matters:
In alignment with our principles of community, we are committed to ensuring that TGIF-funded projects foster open, inclusive, and equitable opportunities for learning, engagement, and impact.
