Project Description: The 2015 Bicycle Parking Improvement Project will add approximately 120 additional bicycle parking spaces in those areas of the central campus most in need of new bike racks. Work in some areas includes repair of damaged racks or removal of outdated/unusable racks. The project also includes an outreach component, aimed primarily at proper bike locking

Project Goals: The overall goals of the Campus Bicycle Committee are to encourage members of the campus community to bicycle to campus and, once they are here, to provide infrastructure and programs that support safe cycling. Over the past decade bicycle commuting to the campus has continued to grow. The specific goals of this project are twofold: provide additional bike parking for the campus cycling community to match the ever-increasing demand; and provide outreach, in the form of signage, flyers, and other media, to inform cyclists of proper bike locking techniques and equipment, since improper locks and locking are the primary causes of bike theft
