Project Description:

This project supports essential operations at the Student Organic Garden and UC Gill Tract Community Farm. SOGA is an integral fixture in the vibrant network of student campus garden spaces. It offers valuable experiential-learning opportunities for students of all backgrounds and the completely student-run organization is a place to gain valuable leadership skills. The UCGTCF is run in partnership with the Rausser College of Natural Resources and local community members while providing numerous benefits to UCB students and the general public. The grant goes towards covering a portion of the Student Organic Garden Association’s water bill and maintaining a portable ADA accessible toilet on site at UC Gill Tract Community Farm (UCGTCF) to maintain.

Project Goals:

Maintain essential operations, water and portable ADA accessible toilet, at SOGA and UCGTCF

Increase student engagement and experiential learning opportunities at the farm spaces of SOGA and UCGTCF
