Project Description: The Sustainability Chair of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house is charged with managing waste collection and maintaining and improving the landscape. Compost tumblers will be purchased and be filled with yard trimmings and leftover fruits, veggies, and salad from dinners. These materials will be used to brew an excellent compost that will reduce waste and sustain a high-quality, local, economically and environmentally sustainable source of much-needed compost soil for the landscape.

Project Goals:

  1. To divert from landfill 50 gallons (2-3 weeks worth) of organic material
  2. To regenerate top soil and invigorate vegetation
