SERC Membership Fund

Project Description: The SERC Membership Fund will provide funding for SERC Membership teams in the Spring 2020 and Fall 2020 semesters. The SERC membership program is an entry point for students to gain firsthand experience in on campus sustainability projects, programs, and events. As the membership program grows, the need for funding does as well. With the SERC Membership Fund, the students involved in our various teams will be empowered to engage the larger UC Berkeley campus on sustainability issues while fostering a dynamic environmental community.
The goals of this project are as follows:
- Provide financial support for SERC Membership teams like the Carbon Crew and Community
Involvement Team to pay for the rights to host environmental documentary screenings. - Allow teams to access a wider variety of speakers for panels and events by compensating transportation costs.
- Increase retention and interest in the SERC Membership program and wider environmental community programming by providing sustainably sourced snacks for community ane membership events.
