Grad and Family Living seeks funds to cultivate the UVA Community garden with native CA plants in order to attract beneficial insects, and support gardeners/the environment. They hope to teach and engage the community about native plants and insects through field and planting days.
Grad and Family Living is seeking funds to cultivate a space for growing seasonal produce, which will integrate the Pantry with the UVA Community garden. Their initiative aims to improve the surrounding habitat as well as increase nutritional diversity, local sustainability and community building.
Cal Zero Waste plans to launch a partnership with FoodWare, a TGIF funded project, to implement a new dishwasher on campus and increase the amount of reusable takeout ware on campus and restaurants. Through FoodWare, the UC Berkeley community will be able to purchase their meals in reusable materials, track CO2 emissions avoided, and the amount of single-use containers saved, which will improve the overall impact of the campus community.
SERC's Green team is seeking funding to pilot a Conscious Event certification which will provide support, individualized guidance, and monetary incentives for RSOs on campus to implement sustainable choices in their group's on-campus events
