Kimiya (she/her) is a third-year double majoring in Conservation and Resource Studies, along with Society and Environment. Her concentrations lie in energy, agricultural, and urban community policy. She hopes to practice environmental law someday, specializing in land-use management and water policy. Some environmental concepts she’s interested in exploring further include the integration of third spaces in suburban sprawl, agroecology’s role in mitigation and adaptation, and renewable energy consumption. Her passion for addressing environmental discrepancies stems from being a native of California's Central Valley, where agricultural productivity has heavily influenced the sociopolitical climate. Outside of SERC, she enjoys any outdoor excursion, playing and listening to music, community organizing and volunteering, dance, poetry, live music, cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
