Held each April on West Crescent Lawn, this event brings together students, faculty, and community members to celebrate clean energy, creativity, and collective action towards a greener future. Eco Lobby Day

Project Description

Nature Village Sustainable Family Living, Phase II

Project Description

Nature Village Phase II will build upon 2012 TGIF Grant Project Nature Village by implementing a sharing campaign and a hazardous and electronic waste program, expanding the Green Family Program, and shooting a 3 min. Nature Village video.

Student Environmental Internship Program

Project Description

SETP will annually create an intentional learning community for 10 students and 10 staff mentors. The program aims to provide leadership training, professional development, and critical thinking skills to UC Berkeley’s student environmentalists. It also aims to cultivate further student-staff partnerships in the campus sustainability community. Students will complete paid work hours on campus sustainability projects and unpaid educational hours on course curriculum.

SERC Mobile App

Project Description

SERC and Chinook Book have teamed up to create a sustainable living and educational mobile app that is available for FREE to all UC Berkeley students, staff, and faculty. Healthy Bears Take the Stairs

Project Description

Healthy Bears Take the Stairs is a health and sustainability campaign in University Hall (U-Hall) that aims to reduce electricity consumption by promoting taking the stairs instead of elevators, and to increase physical activity among those who work and study in U-Hall by making the experience of taking the stairs more appealing, while simultaneously engaging the wider university community in healthy behavior.

Way to Go! Social Marketing Alternative Transportation Program

Project Description

Social marketing experts state that changing people’s travel behavior to alternative modes requires regular marketing to target audiences that make the desired behavior (ie. riding a bike or carpooling with a fellow graduate student) fun, popular, and easy.
